Evelyn L. Collins, 85, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at her home.
She was born November 24, 1932, in Friars Hill, WV, a daughter of Loynel and Iva Bell Morrison Williams.
Evelyn attended Concord College. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed working the food pantry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Porter Collins; a brother, Dennie Williams; a sister, Lucy Withrow; and a son-in-law, John Clegg.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Dolores “Shorty” Clegg of Pettyville, WV, and Darleen Board (Brad) of Marietta, OH; four granddaughters, Michele Railey, Vanessa Bonisteel (Bryan), Misty Lustik (Jordan) , and Tiffany Board; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, John, William, Alex, Miah, Lauren and Jackson; two great-great-grandchildren, Easten and Luke; and one brother, Loynel Delmore Williams.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg, WV, with Jeff Layfield officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
