Wednesday, January 31, will be the occurrence of a super moon, a blue moon, a blood moon, and a partial lunar eclipse all at once.
A supermoon occurs when the moon has reached a point in orbit that is closest to the earth. The moon’s orbit is not a perfect circle, but an elliptical path that takes the moon closer to the Earth on one side during each rotation.
