West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) hosted the first night of Mini Med School Monday, January 22, an event designed to bring public awareness about health and the prevention of disease before it even starts.
Medical students brought presentations on preventative medicine on the first night of the two night event, including seminars on vaccines, addiction, gout, and osteoporosis.
