Harry “Ronnie ” Steele, age 70 of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at his residence.
Ronnie was born on March 24, 1947, in Covington, VA. He graduated from White Sulphur High School, class of 1965.
He was also a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He opened his own business, H&D Repair service, and worked on mining equipment in the Virginia-Kentucky area for most of his life. He was an avid fisherman, which is what took him to his current residence on Cumberland Lake. Ronnie loved to talk about his big fish stories, and made several fishing trips to Canada.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his mother, Elsie “Billie” Steele.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dorothy Lester Steele of Russell Springs, KY; his three daughters, Kim Cornett of Gray, TN, Tish Steele of Denver, CO, and Gina Wine of Bristol, TN. He is also survived by his brother, Donald “Buck” Steele and wife, Judy, of Lewisburg, WV, and four grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 6 p.m., and the funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 17, at 1 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs, KY, with the Rev. Darrin Blair officiating.
