FAIRLEA, WV- There was a lot of hustle, a lot of toughness, and a lot of heart on the soccer field in Fairlea on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
There just wasn’t a lot of scoring. In fact, there wasn’t any scoring.
The Greenbrier East Lady Spartans tied the Woodrow Wilson Lady Flying Eagles 0-0 in a game that featured opportunities, but no goals. Beckley had defeated East 4-0 back on Aug. 24, so it was good for the Spartans to semi-avenge that loss.
The Lady Spartans are now 4-5-1 on the season and will host Capital this Saturday, Sept. 23.
