Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan release the following update on the death investigation of Clarence Sheppard, 72, of Rupert.
Officers from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office and West Virginia State Police responded to the residence of Sheppard for a welfare check on Sunday, January 7, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sheppard was the lone resident of his apartment and a lack of contact by acquaintances and familly members prompted the request. Upon the arrival of officers on scene, entry of the residence was made, and Mr. Sheppard was found to be deceased.
