WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVDN) – “For the Love of Golf” is a new establishment that recently opened on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs by owner Brandon Watkins.

The facility is meant to teach people who have a love of golf to play the sport more effectively and competitively, all while having fun doing it.

The backbone of the shop is the services it provides, especially the Trackman, a top-of-the-line golf simulator. The simulator is the same one that is used on the PGA Tour and gives the students something to really bring out the best in their game. It can be rented out by hour by up to four people at a time. It features some of the top courses in the world including Saint Andrews and Pebble Beach.

When using the simulator, Watkins can pull up a graphic of a real professional golfer and stand them side-by-side with the student. That allows the student to see how their stance, swing and follow through compares to an actual pro golfer and also allows Watkins to instruct more efficiently based on those results.

“Our certified, proven Instruction uses an athletic “training” approach to replace your bad habits with the correct habits needed to play better golf consistently,” Watkins said.

The facility is also certified for club fitting, another top-notch service. At this time, Watkins is certified with Mizuno and Taylor-Made but will have Callaway and Ping at a later date.

“Working directly with the equipment manufacturers, our Custom Club Fitting ensures that your new equipment is tuned to your own body and swing,” Watkins stated.

For the Love of Golf’s hours are:

Monday- closed

Tuesday-to-Friday- 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

Saturday- 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Sunday- 12:00 PM-4:00 PM

The shop will undoubtedly be a huge success and Watkins is thrilled to help aspiring golfers in any way possible.

“Get started on a more enjoyable & better golf game today with our Game Consult service,” Watkins concluded.
