GREENBRIER COUNTY (WVDN) – Yesterday, (July 17), the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection issued an Air Quality Advisory due to high index scores ranging from 101 to 150 across most of the state from wildfire smoke moving down from Canada. Shortly before 11 a.m. this morning, the organization issued another statewide advisory scheduled to end at midnight.
According to the announcement, Air Quality Index scores are once again in the 101 – 150 range in some areas. The worst scores are currently in the area of the northern panhandle. If you are part of a sensitive group, use caution while outdoors.
