WV State Fair admission and ride pass costs

FAIRLEA (WVDN) – The State Fair of West Virginia is preparing to open, and ticket information is available. Here is everything you need to know about admission and ride prices.

Gate admission for individuals aged 11 and over is $10 if ordered in advance or $13 during the event. *sales tax included in all gate tickets* Advance ticket sales end on Saturday, July 29.

Gate admission for individuals aged 10 and below is free throughout the fair.

Mega Passes are valid for 12 hours of unlimited rides between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. They are good on any day of the fair (Gate admission is sold separately).

The advance price for a Mega Pass is $25 +6 percent West Virginia sales tax. If purchasing at the fair, they are $30 + 6 percent West Virginia sales tax.

Special pricing is available on certain days of the fair. The list is as follows:

Thursday, August 10. Opening Day. Gate admission is $7 (sales tax included) for those ages 11 and over. The same day offers a ride special with a Mega Pass for $25 + 6 percent WV Sales Tax.

Monday, August 14, Magic Monday. Gate Admission is $8 (sales tax included) for those ages 11 and over. Magic Monday also offers a discount day ride special for $25 + 6 percent WV Sales Tax.

Tuesday, August 15, Senior Citizen’s Day Day. Gate admission for individuals 55 and Older is $7 (sales tax included). There is also an all-day ride special for $20 + 6 percent WV Sales Tax (all ages)

Wednesday, August 16, Dollar Day Special. Gate admission is $1 before 2 p.m. only for those ages 11 and over.

Thursday, August 17, Military Day. Gate Admission is $7 (sales tax included) for individuals with a valid military or veteran ID.

Finally, August 15, 16 and 17 offer the afternoon special. Gate admission is $7 after 4 p.m. through closing for those ages 11 and over.
