WVU announces spring graduates, academic honors for spring semester

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WVDN) – West Virginia University has announced its spring graduates and president’s and dean’s lists for the spring 2023 semester.

The following Greenbrier County students graduated in spring of 2023:

Anna Barfield of Asbury, majoring in political science; Alexander Casto of Lewisburg, majoring in advertising and public relations; Kenneth Corhn of Lewisburg, majoring in business administration; Cadyn Fauber of Lewisburg, majoring in graphic design; Josie Gilbert of White Sulphur Springs, majoring in neuroscience; Danielle Hansard of Meadow Bridge, majoring in nursing; Callie Honaker of Ronceverte, majoring in health and well-being; Rebecca Hudson of Frankford, majoring in elementary education; Marley Kesterson of Grassy Meadows, majoring in psychology; Karly King of Maxwelton, majoring in law;

Claire Kuliesh of Lewisburg, majoring in sociology; Lynzee McClung of Rainelle, majoring in social work; Michaela Meadows of Ronceverte, majoring in physician assistant; Patrick Plaugher of Alderson, majoring in forest resources management; Aaron Scarr of Lewisburg, majoring in law; Maddie Snyder of Lewisburg, majoring in philosophy and criminology; Sam Snyder of Lewisburg, majoring in entrepreneurship and innovation; Patrick Tilley of Lewisburg, majoring in international studies; and Johnathan Withrow of Crawley, majoring in nursing.

Greenbrier County students on the president’s list are Ava Ambler of Lewisburg, Liana Brooks of Lewisburg, Maxwell Casto of Caldwell, Emma Dotson of Lewisburg, Jacob Hixenbaugh of Lewisburg, Emma Kesterson of Crawley, Dylan Long of Lewisburg, Luna Martin of Ronceverte, Evan McClure of Maxwelton, Emarya Montgomery of Lewisburg;

Rylee Norman of Ronceverte, Patrick Plaugher of Alderson, Hannah Smart of Lewisburg and Sheridan Tolley of Lewisburg.

Greenbrier County students on the dean’s list are Morgan Amos of Lewisburg, Anna Barfield of Asbury, Maggie Bartenslager of Lewisburg, Skylar Blevins of Lewisburg, Samantha Bostic of Caldwell, Sophia Bunch of Lewisburg, Maddison Carter of White Sulphur Springs, Madeline Cochran of Lewisburg, Elena Dye of Lewisburg, Josie Gilbert of White Sulphur Springs;

Noah Hunter of Caldwell, Claire Kuliesh of Lewisburg, Devin McQuain of Frankford, Hallie Nemcik of Maxwelton, Samuel Overholtzer of Alderson, Shyanne Sanford of Alderson, Julia Smith of Lewisburg, Adam Snyder of Lewisburg, Gillian Snyder of Lewisburg and Maddie Snyder of Lewisburg.

Outstanding undergraduate academic achievement is recognized by awarding the president’s list and dean’s list status to students who obtain a 4.0 GPA or 3.5 GPA,  respectively in a semester. Only the highest honor is awarded, and it will be noted on the transcript. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours or more of graded courses to be eligible for such recognition with no grades of I (incomplete), NR (not reported), or W (withdrawal).
