Jack Glenn Weeks, 73, of Fairlea, WV, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
Born July 12, 1944, in Alderson, WV, Jack was the son of Joseph Glenn and Bernice Edith Mays Weeks.
Jack was a retired inspector for the WV Department of Highways and a member of the Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. His CB handle was “Inspector,” and he enjoyed using the CB radio and the friends be met over the CB. He also enjoyed bowling.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his special grandmother, Sarah Jane “Sadie” Phillips Mays and her husband, George; grandparents, Robert Milton and Virginia Huntington Weeks; sisters, Wanda Phillips and husband, S.M. “Buck” Phillips, Doris H. Perry; and brother, Robert Joseph Weeks.
Survivors include his sister, Joyce W. Housby of Alderson, WV; special friend, Pete Cochran and his family; his very special dog, Patches; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church in Alderson with Pastor Kathy Keadle officiating. Burial will follow at the Fletcher Addition of the Alderson Cemetery.
Family will receive relatives one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
