ALDERSON, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Choir and Friends will present their annual Easter cantata on Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m. at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson.
The title is “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” arranged by Russell Mauldin, directed by Dell Wood and accompanied by Nancy Wood. The participating choir members are sopranos Rose Carter, Charlotte Grimmett, Jo Honaker, Sylvia Keaton, Carolyn Jo Knapp, Mary Mitchell, Patty Reinhold, Donna Simms, Shirley Tolosa, Liz Wood and Louise Wood; altos Stephanie Bachman, Cheryl Bice, Sandy Elam, Pam Hensley, Lynda Neff, Sophie Pace, Dena Williams and Phyllis Wykle; tenors Peggy Patterson, Curtis Pauley, Tony Tolosa and Brennan Wood; and basses Darrell Croy, Jason Farmer, Bob Holliday, Lawrence Lewis, Stan Loder, Charles Mulkey, Tim Price and Gary Williams. The narrator for the cantata is Sheila Harris. The soloist and trumpeter is Brennan Wood, and other instrumentalists include Stephanie Bachman on recorder and Gary Williams, percussionist.
A reception will follow the performance in our fellowship hall.
