Juanita Faye Carter, 64, of Alderson, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Born March 6, 1953, in Madison, WV, she was the daughter of James and Nadine Whitt.

 

Juanita Faye Carter, 64, of Alderson, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at home following a long illness.

Born March 6, 1953, in Madison, WV, she was the daughter of James and Nadine Whitt.

Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a childcare provider. She also took care of the elderly. She loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delano Carter; three brothers, Richard, Larry, and Jerry Lee Whitt; two sisters, Penny Marie and Alice Sue Whitt; a brother-in-law, Troy Carter; a son-in-law, Jody Jones; and a nephew, James Workman.

Survivors include three children, Ronnie “Dwayne” Carter and wife, Patchila, Melissa Hopkins and husband, Jerry, and Jason Stanley and wife, Melissa, all of Alderson; 10 grandchildren, Cody, Andrew, and Brandon Carter of Alderson, Scott Weikle and wife, Jamie, of Union, WV, Dakota Jones, Jermie, Hailey, and Alysia Massie, all of Alderson, and Joe and Matthew Jones of Hopewell, WV; two great-grandchildren, Holley Leigh Weikle of Union and Oakley Dalton Terry of White Sulphur Springs, WV; three brothers, Gary Whitt and wife, Margie, of Houston, TX, Charlie Whitt and wife, Shelia, of Atlanta, MI, and Ronnie Whitt of Alderson; six sisters, Martha Linville and husband, Randy, of Van, WV, Wanda Workman and husband, Larry, of Cleveland, OH, Mary “Ougie” Workman and Lester of Van, Beverly Ballengee and husband, Tim, of Alderson, and Christine Adkins and Barbara Kincaid of Alderson; many nieces, nephews, friends, and family; and a special friend, Elby Lephew.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton, WV, with Brother Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Atkins Cemetery at Flat Mountain, WV.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Friday, July 28, at the funeral parlors in Hinton.

Pallbearers will be Scott Weikle, Andrew Carter, Dakota Jones, Brandon Carter, Jermie Massie, Larry Workman, Josh Ballengee, and Roger Adkins. Honorary pallbearer is Cody Carter.

Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton is in charge of arrangements.
