Dear Editor,
I have been receiving The Virginian Review by mail since 1967 when my husband and I moved from Covington. It followed us through 20 years in the Air Force and then into retirement. I was so pleased this week to read The West Virginia Daily News which was included! I read of people in Hot Springs that I knew, and I felt a little like I was “home” for a while.
Some days I receive a bundle of papers (some several weeks old) but I understand that it is a problem coming from the postal service. One day I received a paper addressed to someone else here in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Imagine my surprise when I realized that the street was a few blocks from me. I had been walking past that home for two years! I now have someone locally who also grew up in Covington and we have mutual friends.
Thank you for a great little paper!
