LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – One thing many people have in common is the need to utilize various financial services, and now they have a new choice in Lewisburg, home to BlackPine Investments, a financial company that offers a wide array of services.
Adam Rogers, the investment planner behind the business, wants the community to know what they can expect from working with BlackPine.
The financial services offered at BlackPine are extensive. According to Rogers, BlackPine Investments is an independent broker with zero bias toward any company. The team collectively provides investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning. They set up business accounts and personal accounts.
Rogers also noted that the firm utilizes over 1,000 banks and more than 130 insurance companies to offer several FDIC insurance options for clients. Out of their many services, Rogers says their specialty is retirement planning.
Rogers, a native West Virginian, says the firm strives for consistent honesty and integrity with clients. Privacy is also of the utmost importance to the team at BlackPine. Decisions are not finalized until multiple meetings take place with plenty of discussions.
“We take a no-pressure, personal approach to understanding client needs and take time to thoroughly develop sound, long-term strategies to help our clients pursue their goals and dreams. We work closely with individuals and business owners, offering them comprehensive financial planning and investment services.”
When speaking about what makes BlackPine stand above its competition, Rogers said, “I have to brag on the broker-dealer that I’m associated with, LPL Financial. [They’re] the largest independent broker-dealer in the United States.”
Rogers says the best part of being located in Lewisburg is offering a high level of capabilities to smalltown residents.
He said, “You’re walking into this small office that’s being power housed by a large firm.”
Another vital difference between BlackPine and other similar services involves the clients. While many investment planners have specifications to take on clients, Rogers said he often works with people at all stages of life. Regardless of whether they are someone in their early 20s fresh out of college or someone nearing retirement Rogers says he can help.
Rogers said he is always happy to take on younger clients.
He said, “We want to teach them and guide them.” Many young adults do not necessarily have the same financial education or awareness that others have developed, and Rogers says he wants to help change that.
He also stated, “Everybody needs a financial advisor, whether it’s trying to help them with their 401k with their current employer or helping them with their current investment allocations that they may have, to setting up a college savings account for their little kids.”
Another vital point about BlackPine is that investing does not have to be risky, Rogers said. “Just because you walk into an investment office doesn’t mean it’s going to be risky. We are partnered up with some of the biggest banking institutions that are in the United States and can offer an FDIC-insured bank CD.”
Rogers graduated from Fairmont University and has worked at many local banks along with larger institutions such as J.P. Morgan Chase and Company, Bank of America and others. He holds two bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance.
In the BlackPine office, clients have the opportunity to work with Rogers or one of the other team members.
A common concern from potential clients, according to Rogers, is the office’s newness; will the firm still be around in a year? He said the firm is already well-established and hosting clients from multiple states; they are not going anywhere.
“I built this firm with one of our local banks and was able to move the already established business into BlackPine Investments,” he explained.
