Nina Dixon Martin, 86, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA.
Born April 6, 1931, at Maxwelton, WV, she was the daughter of Sandy Glover Banton and Jennie Lee Seldomridge Banton.
Nina was a former operator of the C&P Telephone Company for many years in Columbus, OH. She loved to read, listen to music, and was an avid sports fan (Michigan Wolverines).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Martin; six brothers, Julian, Bill, Sam, Alex, Emory “Boob,” and Sandy Banton Jr.; and four sisters, Mary A. Church, Myrtle Coffey, Florence Loudermilk, and Betty Oliver.
Survivors include her first husband, W.O. “Jr.” Burns of Lewisburg; stepson, Chris Martin of Johnstown, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Entombment will follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lewisburg.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 28, at the funeral home.
