Arlis Catherine Richmond, 83, of Melbourne, FL, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.
She was born May 15, 1933, in Pipestem, WV, the daughter of Annie L. and Henry D. Wood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Rodney A. Richmond; her twin brother, Ira Wood; other brothers, Lacey Wood and Stanley Wood; and sisters, Edith Knapp and Bessie Humphries.
She is survived by her younger brother, Dolphis Wood of Lewisburg, WV; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her three children, Kenneth W. Richmond (Dena), Rodney F. Richmond (Sandie), and Patricia L. Ottenstein (David); and grandchildren, Alexander and Katelyn Richmond and Cori and Jared Ottenstein.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Arlis’ life will be held at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 S. U.S. Highway 1, Rockledge, FL, on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Viewing will be held from 2-3 PM followed by her service at 3 PM with burial immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/donate), the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org), or the American Heart Association (www.donatenow.heart.org).
Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL, is in charge of arrangements.
