The community is invited to save the date for the second-annual Red Nose River Float on Saturday, June 17.
The ALS Association of West Virginia says they are incredibly grateful for the community’s support in 2022’s inaugural event, and they look forward to floating the beautiful Greenbrier River again with everyone in June.
Register by May 1 for early-bird pricing.
The float will begin at the boat launch in Caldwell and will end at Island Park in Ronceverte. This section of the river is approximately 6 miles of Class II water. This water trail is perfect for beginners. Expect 2.5 hours of float time.
Floaters should give themselves an hour round trip to set up a shuttle. Plans are in the works for help with shuttle, but participants should be prepared to have their own transportation.
This event is being held in honor of Chally Erb, Gary Arbaugh and all whose lives have been affected by ALS. All proceeds will go directly to The ALS Association.
Life jackets are required for each person. There will be safety boaters along the way.
The 2023 Red Nose River Run Anthony Woodyard is organized by Anthony Woodward, ALS Association community engagement and development manager, and co-chairs Deva Wagner and Dan Withrow.
