LEWISBURG (WVDN) – The Family Refuge Center has announced that its annual Women’s Night Out fundraiser will be hosted by Angus Peyton on behalf of the James F.B. Peyton Trust on Saturday, April 22, from 6-9 p.m.

Women’s Night Out is the Family Refuge Center’s biggest fundraising event of the year and includes an evening of live music, live and silent auctions and hors d’oeuvres as the organization raises funds and awareness to eliminate domestic and sexual violence in the communities it serves.

Tickets can be purchased by mail and from the Family Refuge Center’s website and Facebook page. The mailing address is P.O. Box 249, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

For more information or to volunteer, call 304-645-6324.

The Family Refuge Center is a community based, nonprofit organization committed to ending physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. They serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, elder abuse and human trafficking in Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe and Pocahontas counties. Services include emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, court advocacy, hospital accompaniment, therapy, support groups and supervised visitation and exchanges. They also provide awareness, education and training to youth and adults in their service areas. Through their direct and outreach services, they reached over 1,088 individuals last year. This would not have been possible without the support of the community.
