RUPERT (WVDN) – Dining with Diabetes, a free diabetes education program sponsored by WVU Extension and the Greenbrier County Family Support Center, will be held at the Marvel Community Center, 138 Cranberry Ave., Rupert, on Mondays March 6, 13, 20 and 27, from 6-7:30 p.m.
The class includes educational sessions on how different foods affect diabetes, health concerns of diabetics, healthy eating and portion control. There will be food samples of diabetic recipes, several handouts including recipes and cooking tips to help participants manage their diabetes.
Those interested should plan to attend all four dates, as different topics are covered each session.
