For the thrill-seeking adventurer, West Virginia’s New River Gorge has some of the most exhilarating entertainment around. When white water season rolls around, the New River Gorge offers a plethora of activities that would please the biggest adrenaline junkie.
But what’s a guy or gal to do in the off season when you still want to have a good time?
Well, at The Lost Paddle Bar and Grill at ACE Adventure Resort there’s always something going on.
In March, The Lost Paddle will host Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, and word is this is going to be quite a night. Special Events Coordinator for ACE Adventure Resort Chris Colin first came across Joslyn & The Sweet Compression in 2019 when he was booking events for the Mountain Music Festival.
While looking for acts to compliment that year’s headliner Tyler Childers, Colin heard this seven-piece band from Kentucky and was hooked.
“I always thought Joslyn’s voice was a powerhouse and loved the danceable songs she performed on stage,” Colin said. Their unique sound, coupled with a great management team, sealed the deal and Colin has been booking them every year since.
The unique style of Joslyn & The Sweet Compression includes elements from every genre of music, including rock, R&B and soul. You won’t be able to help yourself, you’ll have to get up and dance.
The concert is March 18 at 8 p.m.; tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of.
