The Sportsman tavern is set to open in downtown Ronceverte in the very near future, and we are happy to share some progress photos of the renovations.
Owners Dan Withrow and Mark Trent stripped the historic bar down to its studs and have built it back to an elegant, family-friendly establishment filled with antique decor including an Old Town canoe from the 1930s hanging from the bar’s ceiling and a stop light that used to hang at the People’s Bank intersection.
Withrow, who has owned the bar three times now, says this new iteration will be a family-friendly addition to downtown.
