William D. Harvey, 86, of Clintonville, WV, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at Memorial Division of CAMC in Charleston, WV.
Born in Asbury, WV, on June 3, 1929, he was a son of Merlin Dewey Harvey and Mae Henson Harvey.
Mr. Harvey was a truck driver, having worked in both construction and petroleum transporting. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the James Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Harvey; and a sister, Betty Breland.
Surviving are his wife, Ima Jean Loudermilk Harvey; son, Randy Harvey and wife, Debbie, of Lewisburg, WV; sisters, Hattie Christian of Frankford, WV, and Faye Yates of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Hedrick and Valerie Jordan; step-grandchildren, Jessica Hammack and Tiffany Lee; great-grandchildren, Madison Carter, Caylea Carter, Jamison Sizemore, and Jackie Sizemore; and step-great-grandchildren, Jayce Hammack, Jordan Hammack, Josslyn Hammack; and Poppy Lee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at James Chapel United Methodist Church in Clintonville with Pastors Sam Haught and Mike Loudermilk officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, May 11, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Harvey’s memory to James Chapel United Methodist Church.
