Betty G. Lawhorn Rider of White Sulphur Springs, WV, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Born September 15, 1929, in Covington, VA, she was the daughter of Flossie Lawhorn.
She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, and knitting.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Cecil Rider; three daughters, Linda Brackman, Gladys Wykle, and Barbara Holmes, all of White Sulphur Springs; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the White Sulphur Springs Rescue Squad and Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is serving the family.
