Hallie Mae Scott, 98, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Greenbrier Manor Nursing Home in Fairlea, WV.
Born October 16, 1917, at Oak Hill, WV, she was the daughter of George and Mary Walker Baumgartner.
Hallie was of the Methodist faith, a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a registered nurse and worked in public health many years until her retirement.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyle Thompson; four brothers, Clyde, Albert, Arthur, and Larry Baumgartner; and two sisters, Gladys Lighter Bradley and Ruth Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Scott and wife, Tammy, and their son, Christopher, of Oakvale, WV; niece, Barbara R. Hendricks of Martinsburg, WV; and grandniece, Susan R. Lindsay and husband, Raymond, and great-grandnephews, Jacob and John Lindsay, all of Charlottesville, VA.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the End of the Trail Cemetery in Clintonville, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 18, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
