Wanda Faye Carter, 76, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016, at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV.
Born April 6, 1939, at Rupert, WV, she was the daughter of Clay and Pearl Bostic Cadle.
Wanda retired from ABB in 2002 after 29 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sheldon Cadle.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Stanley Carter of Asbury, WV; daughters, Terry Zimmerman and husband, Sam, of Lewisburg and Susie Sams and husband, John, of Fort Spring, WV; seven grandchildren, Eric Carter (Nikki), Josh Carter (Jennifer), Jessica Sims (Michael), Bryana Smith (Jed), Jon Sams (Toni), Audra Trout (David), and Kayla Poage (Derek); 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ilena Hammonds, Wilma Jean Majors, and Rose Anderson.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Garrett Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Fort Spring.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, January 27, at the funeral home.
