On Thursday, May 28, three brave men risked injury to themselves in order to save a bedridden man in his own home. Eric Duff, Rick Burns and Robert Campbell of the Alderson Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the scene of a fire around 2:15 PM after the victim’s life alert necklace sent out a call that was heard over the radio by members of the fire department who were near the Glen Ray area.
