Virginia “Irene” Tuckwiller, 93, of Charleston, WV, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at The Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV, after a long illness.
Born April 12, 1922, Irene was the daughter of the late William Brett and Elizabeth Jane Douglas Tanner Wilson.
Mrs. Tuckwiller was a member of Canaan United Methodist Church of Charleston, formerly Humphrey’s United Methodist Church. She was a member of Charleston Woman’s Club, Young at Heart Club, United Methodist Women, garden club, and several bridge clubs.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Reese of Charleston; son, Ron Tuckwiller (Lynne) of Fisherville, VA; daughter, Lisa King (Steven) of Charleston; five grandchildren, Kim Stude, Sara Reese, Nathan King, Justin King, and Christopher Reese; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joe B. Wilson of Clintonville, WV.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Visitation will begin at 12 PM on the day of the service.
A private entombment will be held Monday, June 1, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes, WV.
