Olga Mildred Wade, 94, of White Sulphur Springs, WV, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, at her home.
She was born April 12, 1921, at Alvon, WV, a daughter of the late Mitchel S. and Jesse Hoylman Alderman.
She was a member of Alvon United Methodist Church, homemaker, was an avid gardener and farmer, and a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Frank Wade; daughters, Betty Ann Wade and Margaret Tucker; brothers, Kermit, Kenton, and Mason; and sisters, Freda Wade and Mabel Hardiman.
She is survived by three sons, Stephen Wade (Brenda), Doyle Wade (Patty), and Ivan C. Wade; sin-in-law, Elwood Tucker; grandchildren, Tina Graham (Hayroth), Forrest Tucker (Barbara), Jared Wade, Chris Wade, and Adam Wade; several great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Alderman; and brother, Dale Alderman (Barbara).
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 1 PM at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with Pastor Lowell O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the Alvon Untied Methodist Church Cemetery.
A visitation will be from 12 PM until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Chris Wade, Jared Wade, Forrest Tucker, Hayroth Graham, Larry Alderman, Jeff Alderman, Billy Hardiman, and Duane Sykes. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Adam Wade.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
