Homer Keith Wickline, 80, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at LewisGale Hospital, Salem, VA, following a short illness.
Born August 13, 1934, at Sweet Springs, WV, he was the son of the late Vincent O. And Mary Huffman Wickline.
Mr. Wickline was a retired employee of Hercules. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church at Sweet Springs and the Sweet Springs Rescue Squad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elden, Huett, and Joe; and five sisters, Reva, Zita, Leona, Wilhemina, and Hope.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Sue Wickline of Clifton Forge, VA; two brothers, Gillette Wickline of Pearisburg, VA, and Harold Wickline of Charlottesville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with the Revs. Mark Smearman and Marva Smearman officiating. Burial will follow in the Wickline Cemetery at Gap Mills, where the WV Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 27, from 1 PM until time of the services at 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
