Christine Ruth Kinzel, 89, of Frankford, WV, formerly of Hinton, WV, passed away at 8:20 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015, at White Sulphur Springs Center in White Sulphur Springs, WV.
Born July 4, 1925, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Aden J. and Eden Donohoe Lilly.
Mrs. Kinzel was a graduate of Hinton High School. She retired as payroll manager for Gladieux Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Frankford and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society of the church. Ruth loved gardening, especially flowers, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Kinzel, on June 8, 2005; a brother, Oba S. Lilly; and two sisters, Grace Lilly Vines and Hazel Lilly Florence.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Kinzel and wife, Brenda, of Drexel, PA, Ronald Kinzel and wife, Connie, of Frankford, and Rodney Kinzel and wife, Joan, of Marietta, OH; one sister, Jean Sovine and husband, Charles, of Hinton; six grandchildren, Jay Kinzel. Bryan Kinzel, Jennifer Long, Rayna Walker, Phillip Kinzel, and Ron Kinzel Jr.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Enon Baptist Church at Frankford with Pastor Steve Barnette officiating. Burial will be in Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 27, at the church in Frankford.
