Virginia Rose Fry Lowe, 40, of Route 2, Alderson, WV, passed away Friday morning, February 6, 2015, after battling lung and brain cancer.
She was born May 6, 1974, to Spurgeon and Rose Tincher Fry.
Known as “Jennifer” to family and friends, she was preceded in death by her mother and paternal grandparents, Taylor Fry and Virginia Fry Rutherford.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Steven Lee Burgiss; sister, Loretta Tickle and husband, Ricky, and their son, Ricky Jr.; maternal grandparents, Betty Tincher of Christiansburg, VA, and Joe Tincher of Rupert, WV; uncles, Virgil Tincher and Melissa of Sam Black, WV, Melvin and Angie of Virginia, James and Michelle of Virginia, James Fry and Juanita of Asbury, WV, Roy McCutcheon and Betty of Muddy Creek Mountain, WV, and Joe and Gloria of Virginia; aunts, Carrie Rutherford and Warren of South Carolina, Janie Rutherford and Thomas of Muddy Creek Mountain, and Rebecca Rogers of Lewisburg, WV; and many cousins and extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, Peyton Hospice House staff, Aunt Janie, Jackie Cole, and all who helped in any way to make Jennifer’s last days more comfortable. And for all the prayers and love shown to Jennifer; we truly thank you.
Services will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Ricky Tickle officiating. Burial will follow in McElhenny Church Cemetery at Dawson, WV.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, February 9, at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
