Thomas Randolph Steep, 77, of Fairlea, WV, passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
Tom was born August 24, 1937, in Ronceverte, WV, the son of the late James William and Louella Gray Dowdy Steep.
Mr. Steep was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was an Air Force veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and a sister, Lillian Thompson.
Surviving Tom are his son, Randy Steep and wife, Dezra, of West Palm Beach, FL; granddaughter, Eva Jade Steep of Asheville, NC; sisters, Jean Presock of Alderson, WV, Susie Whiteley of Summersville, WV, and Linda Webster of Kentucky; and a brother, Donnie Steep of Fort Spring, WV.
Tom’s funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 3 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Father Chris Fraser officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Ronceverte.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-3 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Tom’s name be made to HospiceCare, 223 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
