The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemorative march and celebration took place January 19 in downtown Lewisburg, and had a full crowd of participants. The theme of this year’s celebration came from the last sentence of King’s Nobel Peace Price acceptance speech, “the beauty of genuine brotherhood and peace is more precious than diamonds or silver or gold.”
