Eligibility: The WV Daily News $25,000 Advertising Grant Program by ECENT Corporation ("The Program") is open to U.S.-based non-profit organizations and charities that are legally recognized as tax-exempt entities under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Other information organizations may be considered on a case by case basis.
Grant Usage & Distribution: Awards are issued as advertising credit only (no cash distribution), and must be used exclusively for advertising services provided by our news publishing platforms for the specified event or function. The funds cannot be used for other purposes or transferred to other entities.
Application Submission: Only fully completed applications received will be considered. You may apply at any time within the annual grant period commencing July 1 each year, and awards are available until exhausted.
Awards availability: A total amount of $25,000 in advertising credits will be available each calendar year. Awards will be given until the funds are exhausted. We will still accept applications, but they may not be awarded due to the non-availability of funds. WV Daily News has a right to either increase the funding pool, or move awards into the next year.
Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed by a panel chosen by WV Daily News and ECENT Corporation, and grants will be awarded based on the quality of the application and the potential impact of the event or function on the community. The decision of the panel is final.
Reporting: Successful grantees must provide a post-event report detailing the impact and outcomes of the event, including how the advertising grant contributed to these outcomes. It must also issue a receipt for IRS tax purposes to ECENT Corporation/WV Daily News.
Confidentiality: All information provided will be used solely for the purposes of The Program and will be kept confidential in accordance with our privacy policy.
Compliance: Grantees are responsible for ensuring their event and all activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Media Release: By participating in The Program, grantees consent to the use, by us and our affiliates, of their name, organization name, images, comments, and other media related to their participation in The Program ("Media"), for any publicity, marketing, or promotional purposes, without further payment or consideration.
Usage Rights: Grantees grant us and our affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display the Media in connection with The Program and for any other business purposes, in any media now known or hereafter devised.
Representations and Warranties: Grantees represent and warrant that they have the right to grant the above license, that the Media does not infringe on the rights of any third party, and that any necessary permissions or releases for use of the Media have been obtained.
General Indemnification: The grantee agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with the grantee's participation in The Program or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
No Legal Connection: Participation in The Program does not establish a legal partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between us and the grantee. The grantee is not authorized to make any commitments on our behalf or represent us in any way.
By applying for The Program, applicants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
