Barry Mark Wise of Lewisburg, WV and currently residing in Roanoke, VA passed away on Monday, December 21 at his home in Roanoke.

Born on October 23, 1944 in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Russell and Virgie McDaniel Wise.

Barry graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1962, where he played basketball and football. He then graduated from West Virginia University in 1966. He served in the United States Army reserve.

Barry loved fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Jane Jasper Wise; and two children, Mark Wise (Wandee) of Roanoke VA and Sarah Wise Templeton (Paul) of San Francisco CA. His greatest joy were his grandchildren, Grey, Saji, and Whelan Wise and Madeline and Huxley Templeton.

Also surviving are his brothers, Russell (Sonny) Wise of Vinton, VA, Mike Wise of Roanoke, VA; a sister, Pat Withrow of Ronceverte; and many nieces and nephews.

As Barry wished, his physical remains were cremated. Further arrangements are currently incomplete. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
