SAMPSON

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020, Juanita Mae “Nonnie” Boone Cornwell Sampson left this world as we know it.

Nonnie was born February 11, 1943 at home in the community of Organ Cave, WV to the late Cecil A. and Edith Fulwider Boone.

In addition to her parents, Nonnie is preceded in death by her beloved children, Jeffrey Mark Cornwell and Lynn Christine (“Tina”) Cornwell; her wonderful husband, Warren Sampson; and the father of her children, Austin Darrell Cornwell.

Left to treasure the memories made together is her beloved granddaughter and light of her life, Hayley N. Cornwell of Ronceverte, WV. Also left behind are her five stepchildren and their families and special granddaughter, Zoe P. Sampson, who has always stayed in touch; two nieces, DS (Sam) Sampson and Jean Ann Hughes of Goodview, VA; cousin, Debbie Loomis of Caldwell, WV; and dear friend, Carol Goodman of Williamsburg, WV.

Nonnie retired as a lending officer from First National Bank in Ronceverte after thirty-five years of service. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society, Friends of the Ronceverte Library, and Ronceverte Woman’s Club.

Per her wishes, Nonnie will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV.

In lieu of flowers, Nonnie has asked that expressions of sympathy be made through donations to Mitsy’s Wings, PO Box 1187, Lewisburg, WV 24901, or CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Abused and Neglected Children), PO Box 1142, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.

Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
