The Greenbrier County Health Department is continuing their vaccination efforts this week. After a successful New Year’s Eve vaccination event at the State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg, the Health Department administered several additional vaccinations to those 80-years and older on Monday, January 4.
Per the guidelines created by Gov. Jim Justice and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, those residents 80-years-old and above are the top priority of the general population.
According to a statement posted on their Facebook page just after noon on Monday, the Greenbrier Health Department officials said, “We are currently making a waiting list for the 80+ year-old population for when we have additional vaccine shipments. We appreciate your patience as we are working diligently through this. Please also be aware that we only have two phone lines coming into our office. If you are in the 80+ year population, you can also email your name, date of birth, county of residence, and phone number to katherine.e.burns@wv.gov to be placed on the waiting list. Please continue to follow our Facebook page for additional announcements.”
The Greenbrier County Health Department can be reached at 304-645-1787. This number will connect to both phone lines should one be busy.
