A loving wife, mother, sister, and friend went home to be with our Lord and to reunite with her heavenly family.
Shairleen June Honaker Wykle, 85, of Caldwell, WV died peacefully Thursday, September 10, 2020 with her family by her side. Shairleen was born on June 20, 1935 at Caldwell, WV, daughter to the late Lester Beard Honaker and Rose Carlton Rutherford Honaker.
Shairleen was a sister to the late Silas Honaker (Nellie), the late Mildred Wykle (Clyde), the late Earl Honaker (Linda) and the late Raymond Honaker. Shairleen was married to the late Wallace William Wykle for 42 years; together they had four children.
Surviving children, Joyce Dauwel (George), Martha Arbaugh, Diana Anderson, and William Jason Wykle (Brandy); six grandchildren, Condrad Dauwel (Trish), Corey Dauwel (Tiffany), Lindsey McClung Lyon (Greg), Laurel Arbaugh (Matthew), Benjamin Anderson (LeAnn), Tykle Wykle, and two step-grandchildren, Garrett Bostic and Samantha Bostic; eight great-grandchildren, Chloe Dauwel, Kylie Dauwel, Marley Dauwel, Emma Dauwel, Lucas Dauwel, Rylan Anderson, Henley Anderson, and Enver Miller.
Shairleen was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker, a cook at Caldwell Elementary and Lewisburg Jr. High, along with a special cousin and life-long friend, Wanda Loudermilk, for many years.
Everyone that knew Shairleen loved and spoke highly of her and her great sense of humor. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Per Shairleen’s request, she will be cremated, no funeral or memorial service, only immediate family gathering.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
