GLASGOW, W.Va. (WVDN) – “What defines who you are is where you grow up,” said Mark Bowe as he accepted his latest honor this week.
On Thursday, Nov. 3, Bowe, of Barnwood Builders fame, was honored in his hometown of Glasgow, W.Va., with a new sign announcing the town as his birthplace.
Bowe was also honored as an Outstanding Kanawha Countian by the Kanawha County Commission.
“Words cannot describe what an honor this was and how much it means to me and my family. Growing up here taught me some of the most important lessons and values that I still live by today. Without this town and its people, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today. Thank you for this incredibly special distinction. I hope I continue to make you proud,” Bowe announced.
