Karen Denise Withrow, 61, of Lewisburg, WV passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Denise was born to Jeanne and David Smith on January 30, 1961, in Washington, DC.

Survived by sons, David Smith (Chelsie) of North Carolina and Travis Withrow also of North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Brevon Westfall of Morgantown, Carleigh and Corbin Withrow, Sophia and Sonya, all from North Carolina. Also survived by her sister, Carol (Steve) Lilly of Rupert. Denise has several aunts, Cathy, Suzie, Linda, and Mary; and many cousins. Also survived by nephew, Joshua Bibbee; and nieces, Myka Lilly (Garrett), Jen, Tasha, Tiah, and Amore all of West Virginia.

Friends, Bridgette, Cindy, Robert, LeeLee, Molly, Nikki, and Katie – She loved you so.

Denise was a hairdresser for 20 years in Raleigh and Greenbrier Counties and an elementary education teacher at Creighton, Rupert, and Smoot. Denise loved all of her students, family, and friends unconditionally and wholeheartedly. She will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be at 125 Battle Hill Drive, her home, in Lewisburg at 12 noon on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

She will be sorely missed. Her impression on her students will live forever, and every memory is treasured forever. Remember her beautiful smile and crazy laughter. She is with all of us forever!

McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of the arrangements.
