Branchland, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Wednesday, March 4,  2026, troopers from the Hamlin Detachment responded to the Branchland area of Lincoln County for a report of shots fired.

The trooper’s investigation revealed that Michael Terry, 54, of West Hamlin, drove to a residence in Branchland, exited his vehicle, and discharged two (2) rounds with a rifle and then fled the scene.

No one was injured in this incident.

Warrants have been obtained on Mr. Terry for Wanton Endangerment and Prohibited Person with Firearm.
