Glenville, W.Va. (WVDN) – In January 2026, an 11-month-old child was removed from a residence in Glenville, Braxton County, West Virginia. The child’s parents, Beraique Taylor, 21, of Glenville, West Virginia, and Joshua Taylor, 21, of Glenville, West Virginia, are alleged to have failed to provide proper nutrition and care. Sgt. B.K. Smith initiated an investigation into the alleged neglect and malnourishment of the child.
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, following an extensive investigation, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were charged with Child Neglect Creating Risk of Bodily Injury or Death and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were taken into custody and transported to Central Regional Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
