GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va. (WVDN) — The Schoolhouse for the Excellency of Knowledge is honored to announce that it has been awarded a grant from VELA Education Fund. This generous funding will directly support the school’s expansion efforts, allowing it to serve more children and families within the community.

The grant will provide critical resources to increase capacity, enhance programming, and further develop the school’s one-room schoolhouse model, which emphasizes individualized instruction, faith-based values, and educational excellence. As demand for alternative education options continues to grow in Greenbrier County, this expansion will help ensure that more students have access to a nurturing and academically rigorous learning environment.

“We are deeply grateful to VELA for believing in our mission and investing in the future of the children we serve,” said leadership at The Schoolhouse for the Excellency of Knowledge. “This grant makes it possible for us to expand responsibly and continue offering an education that honors God, values family partnership, and respects the unique design and development of each child.”

The Schoolhouse for the Excellency of Knowledge remains committed to providing a learning environment that fosters academic growth, character development, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. With the support of VELA, the school looks forward to welcoming additional students and strengthening its impact in the region.
