GREENBRIER VALLEY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier Valley Board Of Realtors, Feed The Need Program held its annual December meeting with the Greenbrier and Monroe County Food Pantry Directors and Wellspring Of Greenbrier Inc. Ten Food Pantries in Greenbrier and Monroe counties, including Wellspring Of Greenbrier Inc. each received $1,200 to continue supporting their pantries, programs and in helping fight food insecurity in our communities.
The 2025 funds were raised by two raffles (and an affiliate donation of $1,000 from Justin Weikle and Becky Persinger representing ALCOVA Mortgage):
First: Josie Patterson, daughter of Roger and Alisha Patterson, Patterson & Co Luxury Real Estate; aged out of 4-H after 14 years. She donated her market steer at the GMYLA Auction and asked for individuals and businesses to pool together to purchase her steer. They then donated the proceeds raised to Feed The Need, as well as the beef (to hold a raffle). The raffle held was for a chance to win one of four quarters of beef. The beef was processed, vacuum sealed, labeled and frozen for pickup free of charge by Mountain Steer in White Sulphur Springs.
Second: The Coldwell Banker Stuart and Watts Real Estate Brokers and Agents pitched in to donate $1,200 to create/purchase a WVU Football Package consisting of four tickets to the TCU game, a Yeti roll-along cooler, four tumblers, WVU pendant, etc.
