LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Carnegie Hall proudly welcomes Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass for an unforgettable evening of powerhouse traditional bluegrass on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

Widely celebrated for their unadorned, emotionally charged sound, Danny Paisley and his band continue to honor the roots of bluegrass while carrying its legacy forward with fresh energy and award‑winning artistry. Their most recent album, Bluegrass Troubadour, earned IBMA nominations for Album of the Year and Song of the Year (“Blink of an Eye”), and the group now looks ahead to their highly anticipated 2025 release, featuring the No. 1 single “’Till Lonesome Comes Around.”

Known for delivering some of the most powerful vocals in bluegrass today, Danny Paisley has earned widespread admiration from peers and fans alike—including praise from Alison Krauss—and in 2024 joined an elite group of artists by winning the IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year award for the fourth time, a distinction shared by only three others in the history of the genre. Since the passing of his father, Bob Paisley, founder of Southern Grass, Danny has carried the torch with remarkable success, leading the band to multiple chart‑topping albums and more than 20 Bluegrass Music Award nominations, including the 2009 IBMA Song of the Year for “Don’t Throw Mama’s Flowers Away.”

Southern Grass continues its rich family tradition with Danny’s son Ryan Paisley on mandolin, representing the next generation of standout pickers. The group also features the exceptional talents of T.J. Lundy on fiddle and Bobby Lundy on bass and vocals – sons of the legendary Ted Lundy – along with acclaimed banjoist Mark Delaney, who recently rejoined the ensemble. Together, they create a sound that bridges old‑time mountain music, classic bluegrass, and the soulful country influences that shaped Danny’s upbringing in Landenberg, Pennsylvania.

Tickets are $25/adults and $20/students, with discounts offered for members, seniors, military, and students. Thanks to the Carnegie Cardinal Fund, Greenbrier County students (K–12) receive free admission while funds last. To secure tickets or redeem discounts, contact Carnegie Hall Box Office at (304) 645‑7917.

Carnegie Hall invites audiences to experience one of bluegrass’s most authentic and electrifying ensembles as Danny Paisley & The Southern Grass bring six decades of tradition, heart, and musical excellence to the stage.

Carnegie Hall WV is a nonprofit organization supported by individual contributions, grants, and fundraising efforts such as TOOT and The Carnegie Hall Gala. The Hall is located at 611 Church Street, Lewisburg, WV. For more information, please call 304.645.7917 or visit www.carnegiehallwv.org.
