BEAVER, W.Va. (WVDN) — New River Community and Technical College will host the New River CTC Invitational, a multi-day high school basketball tournament, January 5-10, at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
The tournament will bring together boys’ and girls’ high school basketball teams from across West Virginia for a week of competitive play. Games begin Monday, January 5, and continue through Saturday, January 10, with daily matchups scheduled as early as 2:45 p.m. The tournament will also feature a Special Olympics game on Saturday.
Participating schools include Webster County, Martinsburg, Nitro, South Charleston, Princeton, Greenbrier East, Summers County, Woodrow Wilson, Liberty, Shady Spring, and many others, showcasing top basketball talent from throughout the state.
The New River CTC Invitational provides student-athletes with a high-quality competitive environment while offering the community an opportunity to enjoy a full week of high school basketball. The event also reflects the college’s commitment to supporting athletics, student success, and regional engagement.
The tournament is presented by Little General Stores and Southern West Virginia Chevy Dealers.
