LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – According to a criminal complaint, on Dec. 27 in Lewisburg, an officer responded to a call for a domestic. The caller reportedly said his wife had been drinking since the day before and was arguing with him as well as hitting him on the side of his head.

Once at the residence, the officer spoke with the female, later identified as Lisa Morgan. Morgan was clearly intoxicated, according to the complaint. She was allegedly to the point where she needed assistance walking.

Morgan reportedly said she and her husband had an argument and that she was drinking a lot. According to the complaint, the officer then questioned Morgan about hitting her husband, and she denied it. The husband reportedly told the officer that Morgan hit him on the side of his head, and he only wanted to see her get help at the hospital. The officer had Morgan blow into a PBT, and she reportedly blew a .279%.

The officer asked if she would go to the hospital, and Morgan allegedly refused. The officer then told Morgan she was going to jail, to which she responded that the officer couldn’t do anything with her, the criminal complaint states. Morgan was then placed in handcuffs and taken to the Lewisburg Police Department for processing. From there, she was taken to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center for medical clearance, then transported to Southern Regional Jail to await her arraignment.

At the time of publishing, Morgan is not listed as an inmate at Southern Regional Jail.
