HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. (WVDN) – River Riders and Snow Riders, two winter attractions, the Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show, and Snow Riders Snow Tubing. Together, they bring festive magic, outdoor adventure, and unforgettable memories throughout the holiday and winter season.

The Harpers Ferry Holiday Light Show transforms the property into a glowing winter wonderland for the whole family. Guests can enjoy hundreds of thousands of lights along the trail, holiday music, a dedicated children’s play area, and multiple fire pits for warming up or roasting s’mores. Santa is in his treehouse nightly on operating days through Dec. 24.

A four-story overlook offers a breathtaking view of the light park, and hot chocolate and hot snacks are available. A valid waiver is required at check-in. Tickets are available online at HarpersFerryLightShow.com, and walk-ins are welcome at 408 Alstadt’s Hill Road (guests should check operating status before arriving). The show runs through Jan. 4, 2026.

Snow Riders Snow Tubing sits on the same property, offering the longest snow tubing hill on the East Coast, stretching well over 900 feet. Downhill Disco begins nightly at 5:30 p.m., featuring an LED light and music show on the hill. Guests must have a verified waiver and a valid ticket.

Advance online ticket purchase is strongly recommended, as weekends frequently sell out. The attraction is open now through the first week of March. Tickets are available online at SnowRiders.com.

Keith Robertson, Marketing Manager at River Riders & Snow Riders, stated, “We love that we’re able to bring winter activities to Harpers Ferry in a way that creates joy, excitement, and connection for our community.” Robertson adds, “It means so much to us to help build new traditions during the holiday season and to see families, friends, and visitors come out and enjoy some of our favorite winter activities. Watching our community embrace these experiences is truly the best part of what we do.”

Harpers Ferry blends illuminated wonder with heart-pounding fun, offering something for everyone, creating lasting memories, from a stroll through twinkling displays to a twilight tubing ride beneath LED skies, making for the perfect Winter day trip. What are you waiting for?
