BEAVER, W.Va. (WVDN) — New River Community and Technical College honored its Phlebotomy students during a pinning ceremony that was held Friday, December 5, celebrating the dedication, discipline, and academic success of those completing the program.

Faculty, staff, family members, and friends attended the ceremony to recognize the students’ achievements and their commitment to entering the healthcare field. The pinning symbolized both the completion of the program and the students’ readiness to serve with skill, compassion, and professionalism.

New River CTC’s Phlebotomy Program is a one-semester program designed to prepare students for entry-level phlebotomy technician positions. It prepares students to successfully complete the national phlebotomy exam and receive the technical certificate.

New River CTC congratulates each of the students recognized at the ceremony and looks forward to seeing the impact they will make in the healthcare community.

For more information about the Phlebotomy program at New River CTC, visit New River CTC’s Phlebotomy page today.

Congratulations to the following students:

Mercadez Ambler, Julian Blake, Abigail Bostic, Amy Dutton, Kaylee Ellis, Elijah Hollinghead, Micahi Houchins, Jalin Newkirk, Lilly Osborne, Madison Staley, Kyle Tolliver, and Maxine Whitlock.
